Doug Shepherd will be giving us a slideshow about his first ascent of the massive NE face of Mt. Dickey in the Ruth Gorge, Alaska. He will also show some amazing pictures and tell stories about new ice/mixed routes in the mountains of Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana.

What makes Doug really special is that he is a full-time staff scientist at the Los Alamos National Lab, and still manages to do climbs at this level.

The Caltech Alpine Club is hosting this event for free (no tickets required); there will be snacks, drinks, good company, and an awesome talk!

Thursday, July 5th, 2012, at 8 pm. Come early for snacks and drinks.

Join us as Doug shares his adventures and exciting stories!
