Inventing and translating new cell therapies: A Caltech/LA Biostart workshop

Register to attend sessions on lessons learned and key considerations in translating cell therapy research. The morning session will be followed by lunch and two afternoon sessions. The workshop will be hosted by the Merkin Institute for visiting LA BioStart Bioscience Entrepreneurs and is open to the wider Caltech community. Refreshments and a light lunch will be provided for those who register.

Professor Viviana Gradinaru will lead with a morning session titled "Bioengineering Delivers Genetic Therapies Across the Blood-Brain Barrier: From Lab to Startup." This will be followed by a networking lunch and two afternoon speakers including Dr. Mohamed Abouelenein (USC/CHLA) with a talk titled "Establishing the Cell Therapy Program at USC: Bridging the Translational Gap" and Dr. Saul Priceman (City of Hope) with a talk titled "Translating Cellular Immunotherapies for the Treatment of Solid Tumors."
