Exploring non-left-orderability in 3-manifold groups

In this talk, I will introduce some computational techniques for establishing non-left-orderability in various groups, including the fundamental groups of the cyclic branched covers of the pretzel knot P(3, -3, -2k-1) and certain surgeries on chainmail links. I will also briefly discuss how a computational proof of non-left-orderability can provide insights into the construction of taut foliations.
