Family Resources and International Scholars Services Orientations
Two Orientations are offered to new scholars at Caltech on Thursday February 14, in the East Bridge Conference Room, 114 (also known as the Robert F. Bacher Room).
9:00 a.m. - 9:55 a.m.: Scholar and Family Resources Orientation (conducted by Barbara Avouac)
10:00 a.m. - 11:00a.m.: International Scholar Services (conducted by April Pisano/Ilana Smith)
The Scholar and Family Resources Orientation is designed to assist Scholars and their family as they transition to life at Caltech and in Pasadena. Topics such as housing, driver's license, schools, child care, social life, networking, banking, and more will be addressed.
The International Scholar Services Orientation is designed to provide information to international scholars about regulations affecting immigration status in the United States. If you are an international scholar, we highly encourage you to attend this presentation.
You are welcome to attend either or both sessions with your spouse/partner.
For those who wish to bring their child(ren), the Child Educational Center will provide free childcare during the orientation(s). Children must arrive 15 minutes prior to start of the orientation program. Childcare is provided in the West Bridge Building, Room 57.
