Colloquium Talk

The goal of the talk is to help graduate students and faculty to connect with research around effective learning experiences in a way that helps them shift the paradigm between what they have experienced themselves as students and what they actually need to do in the classroom. Spoon-feeding of content is what students tend to desire but is not good for long-term retention or transferability skills. In particular, we'll consider the question: How can we improve the depth of learning and interaction between students and others in the classroom?
