PASADENA—The Southern California Seismic Network, a cooperative project of the California Institute of Technology's Seismological Laboratory and the U.S. Geological Survey, has discontinued its paper-based weekly earthquake report, effective immediately.
Frequently updated comments on current seismicity, and more extensive reports on noteworthy earthquakes, can be found at
http://flint.gps.caltech.edu/eqreports
A California seismicity map, with a full list of events, is accessible from the SCEC Data Center at

These sites will be updated more often than once per week. Southern California epicenters and magnitudes are now updated as soon as they go through the interactive analysis phase of the data processing. This can be immediately, or several days afterward, depending on the amount of activity and the time of day. There will be no paper copy or usenet distribution of this information.
