PASADENA, Calif.- Bill Watrous, named the number one jazz trombonist for seven years in a row by Downbeat magazine, will be the featured performer at the California Institute of Technology's sixth annual Jazz Festival from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 22, in the Gates Library patio behind the Parsons-Gates Hall of Administration at Caltech. The concert and parking are free. Tickets are not required.
The concert will also include the San Gabriel Seven, a jazz/Latin/funk band based in the San Gabriel Valley, as well as the two Caltech jazz bands directed by William Bing.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket and food.
