New Faculty Officers Named at Caltech

The new chair of the faculty is Pasadena resident David Goodwin, professor of mechanical engineering and applied physics; the vice chair is South Pasadena resident Henry Lester, Bren Professor of Biology; and the secretary of the faculty is Pasadena resident David Wales, professor of mathematics.

The new faculty board, which administers the educational operations of the Institute, will serve two-year terms beginning July 1.

There are 276 professorial faculty members at Caltech.
