Tarras, a youthful, exuberant band, originates from the borderlands of northern England and Scotland. This band pushes the boundaries of traditional Celtic music, with original songs featuring elements of blues and even African drums. They play guitar, cittern, bass, violin, accordion, and percussion, and all the members sing. Their first album, Rising, on Rounder Records, is growing rapidly in popularity.
